Men on Boats

This production features 3 rolling platforms of increasing size.

Pneumatic actuators allowed platform framing to lift off the ground 3/4” and roll on a separate caster carriage.

Square “lift frames” were built to fit into stock 4’x8’ platforms for future use.

Each platform was equipped with a tank which allowed it to actuate a dozen or so times. Tanks were topped off nightly at top of show.

Actors used carpet layouts of the moving platforms in rehearsal in order to grow accustom to related blocking.
